Links do not contain the location of the files on your server, not even in encrypted form.
Can even access files stored on another server on the other side of the world if required
If supported by your server Linklok URL can retrieve files from remote servers. However we do recommend wherever possible to store files locally has this is more efficient and uses less bandwidth.
Files can be stored outside of web root for extra security if required
Most servers allow files to be stored outside of the webroot if required. However if you use a folder with an obscure name in your web space this is still secure as long s you do not link to any files in that folder. Search engines, robots or hackers will not be able to find the folder.
Links can have expiry time from 1 minute to several years (or unlimited)
Links can have an expiry time set after which they will no longer work. There is no way to tamper with the expiry time in the link.
Links can be IP address locked for the ultimate security
For most applications time expiry on links is sufficient but you can also have IP locking as well. This locks the links so that they will only work on the same IP address that generated them. So for example a link from a webpage will work for any user on your webpage but if they are copied and sent to anyone else they will fail.

Linklok URL dynamically creates links in your page using a simple function that you place in the relevant links on your site.
Can email secure links
Linklok URL's form handler can collect data from a form of your design and email out one or more download links. These links can be time and IP locked if required. The form data submitted is forwarded to you by email and can be logged in a text file if required. Using this method only users who enter a real valid email address will get your links.
Forms and email are completely customizable
Linklok URL can be added to most forms with only minor changes allowing you to collect data from your clients and email them download links. The email that is sent out is template based and fully customizable.
Forms can use the built in CAPTCHA code field to stop spam
Linklok URL forms can use the built in CAPTCHA (turing) code field to stop repeated submission and spam problems associated with form that send emails.
Can block free or other types of emails from receiving the download links
The form handler can be set to disallow free type email address (or any other emails you wish). This helps to ensure that you get valid emails where clients can really be contacted.

Adding Linklok URL to a page is a breeze. A line is added to the top of the page which enables Linklok and then each link you want to secure is just a simply function call.
Can stop bandwidth theft (anti leeching)
Normal links to files, images or other media on your site can easily be stolen and used on other sites. The problem with this is that the bandwidth is used (stolen) from your server. By using Linkllok URL you ensure that links will only work on your pages.
Links can point to a HTML or PHP page as well as downloadable files
Normally links will point to download files or inline image files but they can also point to html or php pages. In this case Linklok URL will display the page instead of downloading it. The link to the page will effectively be secure. However please note that any links that forward from that page will not be secured.
Option to log all email requests and downloads to log files
Linklok URL can log to a text file all form submitted data and download clicks.

Linklok URL support download resume and download managers wherever possible.
Secure links can be emailed out at any time using the manu entry form
Linklok URL has a password protected form built in that can be used to email secured links to any email address a any time.
Written in PHP so will work on nearly all servers
Linklok requires only PHP 4 or PHP 5 so will work on nearly all server whether shared or dedicated. Linux and Windows (and others) are supported.
No database or cookies required
Linklok URL uses just PHP so no mysql database is required.
