Vibracart Pro V2.5 released

This new version has a number of new features, bug fixes and tweaks.

Simple shipping label can be viewed from the dashboard or emailed as PDF for each order.
Added dropdown field type for custom checkout fields.
Checkout address and custom fields can now be prefilled from Sitelok fields if user is logged in.
The cart or specific products can be set to block or allow sales to specific countries. This is initially checked by GeoIP and then further by selected delivery country at checkout.
Product import and export now supports storedescription, fulldescription, producturl, countrylimit and countries fields.
Send download page can now be used without name or email to generate links when Send Email and Update Sitelok are disabled. Uses NA as email and name in the order.
Optional cart specific success page and email for external payment (invoiced) orders.

New Discourse plugin

Our new Sitelok Discourse plugin allows a single sign-on (SSO) between Sitelok and the Discourse forum. In other words Sitelok will be the login system used by the forum so a user only needs to enter their Sitelok login details to have access to the forum as well. The Discourse forum groups available can be set by default, set by Sitelok usergroup or custom set per user.

The plugin costs $19.95 plus VAT where applicable.

Sitelok V7.0 released

Sitelok V7.0 has been released with some new features, bug fixes and tweaks.

New password reset form and associated email link allows the forgotten password feature to work in a more familiar way for users.
Register and update profile forms now support custom validation options for the email and password fields as well as the other fields already supported.
New email variables to show usergroup specific expiry date and start dates. For example !!!groupexpiry(GOLD)!!!.
Plugins (and some server side checks) can now display field specific messages below the relevant field instead of under the form. The Messaging & Profile, Register Codes and Password Security plugins have been updated to support this too.
Different text field types (text, date, time etc) now have the same height.

New Page Track plugin

The new Page Track plugin has three main (and independent) features.

Page visit tracking
The plugin can log when a user opens a page and optionally use various techniques to determine how long the user is viewing the page and keep a total time for the page visit.
There are various reports that can be viewed in the dashboard or displayed on a members page. Many sites can benefit from the page visit data. For example training or education
sites could track users access to lessons or employee sites could see evidence that employees have read safety material.

For live stream type pages you can also setup a time period that the page will be live. This allows the time on the page for each user to be counted only during that time.

Session checking
This feature of the plugin will periodically call back to the server to ensure the users session is still valid. If not then the user is logged out. This can be useful if you
need the ability to force logout users from the dashboard (or a concurrent user logs in) and know that any already opened pages will close.

Inactivity logout
You can optionally have a user logged out if they are inactive on a page for more than a certain amount of time. This can have an optional dialog box allowing the user to cancel the logout.

This new version has a number of new features, bug fixes and tweaks.

Checkout buttons on cart can now be larger and flow better as cart size changes.
Last purchased date can be shown when buyer is logged into Sitelok (and latest VcPro plugin).
Items already purchased can be blocked when buyer is logged into Sitelok (and latest VcPro plugin).
External payment (invoicing) can now be a buyer choice if required.
External payment (invoicing) now has its own checkout button.
Agreements can be longer and flow better on the cart.
Agreements can be individually hidden (auto agreed) if the buyer is logged into Sitelok.
Option to hide add to cart buttons and or prices if the buyer is not logged into Sitelok.
Option to set height of images in the storefront.
Option to add broder to the imagegrid main image and /or thumbnail images.
Order export now includes agreements and custom checkout fields.
The font can be set separately for product options. Other styling settings for product options.

Currency symbols can now be shown after the amount. Can be set for each currency and overriden in the cart style.
Optional message feld for Send Download feature. Allos a custom message to be inserted into the email.
Option to have a products add to cart button link to a page instead of adding to the cart. This can be useful where products need to be handled seperately but you still wish to present them in the storefont.
Buyer contact details can now be edited on the view order page. No financial data can be edited.
Buyers Sitelok username can be assigned or edited on the view order page.
Shipping now shows an error message to the buyer and checkout blocked if no valid shipping plan is selected.
Deleting an order in Vibracart Pro will now also dleete the order in Sitelok. Orders 'deleted' in Sitelok just remove the order from the user and not deleted.
Menu option next to order to view user in Sitelok.
Added RON - Romanian currency (Stripe only).
HUF and TWD currencies now support 2 decimal places.
Many bug fixes and tweaks.

New Sync Users plugin

The sync users plugin allows users to be synchronised between 2 or more Sitelok installations. This allows users to register on one site and have access to another. This can be one or two directional depending on your
requirements. Options allow you to define which custom fields are sent out from the site to the remote site. The remote site can define how to handle the data received too.

The plugin costs $19.95 plus VAT where applicable. Unlike other plugins that are licensed per domain, a single license of this plugin can be used on each connected site.

Vibracart Pro V2.3 released

This new version has a number of new features, bug fixes and tweaks.

Products can now have categories and tags assigned to them. This allows discounts to be applied to groups of products for example. The Store front page can also be set to show only specific categories or allow the buyer to select one. Please note that currently tags are almost the same as categories so you could use tags for internal tagging perhaps. New features using tags may be added later.
Up to 5 checkout fields can be collected. For example you could request further delivery instructions. Each field can be set as required and can be set to either text, number, date, time or textarea type.
Product buyer input fields can now have field types of text, number, date, time or textarea.
New sales by category / tag stat added
Audio can now be played on the image grid as well as images and video.
New snippet to display a cart icon overlaid with the number of items. This can be used match the store front page which use the same style.

Sitelok V6.9 released

Sitelok V6.9 has been released with some new features, bug fixes and tweaks.

Multiselect fields

Registration, update profile and contact forms now have a multiselect field available. You can optionally set the minimum and maximum selections allowed as well as the number of rows shown in the form. The selected options are stored in the custom field separated by commas.

Handling existing users in registration forms

Added options to handle registration forms when the user already has an account. Useful when using a registration form to add user to a newletter usergroup for example. Options now include

Block registration and show warning (default action)
Delete existing account (use with caution)
Delete existing accounts if all usergroups are expired
Just add user to the form usergroup and continue
Send an email template to the user and then redirect to a different thank you page.

Product selection during registration

Previously if a registration form was used to take payment the relevant product had to be set in the form. We now have a new Product dropdown field so that the user can choose the product to purchase. There is also an option to use a hidden field instead which you could perhaps set from javascript.

Automatic username based on name

If you would like a registration form to generate a unique username based on the users full name or first name the you can add a hidden username field to the form containing the value UNIQUEFROMNAME or UNIQUEFROMFIRSTNAME. This will generate the username and append a number to make it unique if needed.

Other features

Added !!!lastgroupname!!!, !!!lastgroupdesc!!! etc email template variables have been added.
New Send Email action snippet added.
Email template conditionals now work in the email subject.
Specific users can be set to bypass concurrent login (if enabled) by adding a setting to slconfig.php (useful for admin users for example).

New Shopify plugin for Sitelok

We have released a simple Shopify plugin for Sitelok which can create Sitelok accounts for buyers who purchase products from your Shopify store.

Optionally you can have an email sent to the buyer (and admin) when the purchase is made and store purchase info in their Sitelok account.

Messaging & Profile plugin V2.6 released

Some new features and bug fixes have been added to V2.6 which we have released now. Details of the changes can be found in the version history tab of the plugin page.

One important new feature is the ability to display user data in user lists in more flexible ways. This can include data stored in custom fields populated by the new HTML editor field available in Sitelok V6.8 and above.

It is also possible to layout and style the user data in the list using a Sitelok email template. This allows fields to be positioned and styled as needed. This is great for a member or company directory for example.

One of our clients has a great example of a user list in action on yogateacherstogether.org. Yoga teachers register with the site to be listed in the searchable directory. Notice that the list shows some basic information (certain Sitelok fields) and Read More links to the profile page with further details. Here is how their searchable list looks (try it out using the link above).

Sitelok V6.7 has been released with some new features, bug fixes and tweaks.

HTML Editor fields

Registration, update profile and contact forms now have an HTML editor field available. This can be either a basic editor or a full editor depending on what you need.

Users can use these fields to send you formatted data which you can access in the dashboard. The HTML can also be displayed on the members page as well. Normally custom fields are displayed using

which would display any the HTML as text on the page. When using an HTML editor you would use the raw data variable instead so that it displays the data as formatted HTML.



Sitelok uses secure XSS protection for data entered via HTML editor fields.

Numerical sort
Custom Fields on the main dashboard table can be set to sort numerically instead of the default text based sort.

New Sendy plugin for Sitelok

Sendy (https://sendy.co/) is a third party email marketing app that is self hosted so has no subscription or monthly fees. You just pay for the email sent via Amazon SES (around $1 for 10,000 emails). 

The Sendy Plugin for Sitelok allows users added to Sitelok (via registration, payment or other ways) to be added to Sendy mailing lists. You can add users to lists based on their usergroups or add all users to one one list, depending on your requirements. When users are added to a new usergroup later on they will be added to any assigned list as required too, keeping users in synch. There are also options to remove users from lists when they are removed from usergroups too.

We are hoping to release Vibracart Pro V2.0 soon. New features include stock control and a new automated Storefront page option.

The Storefront page displays a sortable and searchable grid of your products. We use this on our site now and can be viewed at https://www.vibralogix.com/store.php. It looks something like this



The product grid can be added to your existing page layout so keeps all navigation, headers, footer and any other content you need. There are a many options for styling the grid.

A new HTML editor field has been added to the product setup to allow you to set a product description for the store in addition to the existing product title.


You can also have a link to further product information. This could be an existing product page or can use the new product details template page. This allows products to be added and edited in the VCpro dashboard without republishing your site using a product details field that makes used of am HTML editor.

V2.0 should be released soon.

New Webhooks Plugin (Zapier, Integrately etc)

The Webhooks Plugin allows you to connect Sitelok to services such as Zapier and Integrately. For example adding new Sitelok users to a mailing service or adding a row for each new user to a Google sheet.

As well as working with Zapier and similar services developers can also make use of the webhook calls made when events happen in Sitelok to call their own functions. There are also API functions that can be called to perform actions in Sitelok too.

Please note that web hooks are premium services in Zapier and Integrately so may not be available in free accounts.

Sitelok V6.5 released

Sitelok V6.5 has been released with a number of new features, bug fixes and tweaks.

Date fields on registration, update profile and contact forms can now use a calendar input on supported browsers. You must select the validation format YYYY-MM-DD (HTML date) to enable this.

Time fields on registration, update profile and contact forms can now use a clock on supported browsers. You must select the validation format HH:MM (HTML time) to enable this.

The min and max date for date validation can now be set as days from the current date as well as fixed dates. Negative days can be used too.

Added $slcreateddays, $slgroupexpirydays and $slgroupexpirydaysbyname page variables and associated email template variables.

Added page variables containing the users start date and membership days of each usergroup. These allow you to display content based on how long a user has belonged to a usergroup. Associated email template variable are also available.

Added a page content snippet for members of any listed usergoup expiring between a certain number of days.

Added a page content snippet for members of any listed usergoup who joined between a certain number of days. Great for gradual dropping of content.

Added sl_isexpiringmemberofany() and sl_ismemberdaysofany() functions.

Finally found found a fix for the missing file manager icons in Safari.

Files uploaded to a contact form can now be copied to a users folder when using the User Files plugin (V2.2+).
The redirect URL on email functions such as approve() can now use variables such as !!!username!!! and !!!custom1!!! etc

New Sitelok pricing

I have tried hard to keep the cost of Sitelok the same since the very first version in 2003. Unfortunately because of increasing costs over the years (particularly the last year) it has become clear that a price increase is needed. As of V6.4, to be released soon, the price will increase to $59.95 (+ VAT where applicable). Upgrades and extra licenses will continue to have a 50% discount. There are no changes to the plugin prices planned at this time, many of which are free anyway. I hope that users will still see this as a fair price considering the features and level of support provided. Thank you all for your continued support. On the bright side at least its not a subscription!

Sitelok V6.3 has bee released and has a number of new features.

Email conditions
We have added a powerful if - then - else system to the email template editor. This enables email content to be included based on usergroup membership or values in custom fields etc.

Here is an example



Also added is a function that allows an email template to trigger another template to be sent out immediately afterwards. This can be sent to the same email or a different one. This can be used with the email conditions too of course.

View password option
Sitelok now has the option to show a view password icon on password field on forms. This feature is enabled globally in Tools - Configuration - Passwords.


Log filter
When viewing or exporting the log you can now enter a filter text so that only entries that contains the text in the details, ip or season fields will be included. This is great for finding downloads of a specific file or a user with a specific IP address. 


Is expired member of snippet added
The snippet generator can now show content when a user is expired in a specific usergroup.

Javascript Access plugin V1.0 released

Normally Sitelok is used to secure .php pages controlled by server side PHP scripts. For most websites this is ideal and provides a very secure solution. However sometimes there may be a need to access user variables (name, email, custom fields etc) from a javascript or jQuery application. The Javascript Access plugin provides access to a logged in users data and also allows writing to custom fields. This can be done on pages that are not .php as well, increasing the flexibility.

The plugin assumes that you have sufficient knowledge of Javascript ,although the function are quite easy to understand.

User Files plugin V2.0 released

The User Files plugin has (finally) been updated to improve the user interface. I added support for shared file folders for usergroups or other uses and provided further email variables that can be used.
The plugin is backward compatible with existing installations and Sitelok RW stacks (although requires Sitelok V5.0 or above).

2FA Login plugin

Our new 2FA Login plugin provides an extra layer of login security by requiring a single use code to be entered in addition to the username and password. It works with the popular Google Authenticator or Authy apps which generate the code. No text message delays or hardware tokens needed. Setup is really easy for users as they just need to scan a QR code in the app the first time they login. You can enable 2FA security for specific users, members of usergroups or just allow users to enable it themselves. We really recommend using 2FA Login for ADMIN users to keep your user data secure.

CleanTalk plugin

CleanTalk Anti Spam is a very low cost third party service which checks a users email and IP address against blacklists. The Sitelok CleanTalk plugin uses their API service to check users when they register on your site. It can also optionally check messages sent via the contact form or messaging plugin too. Other features are available from CleanTalk including the ability to block access from specific countries, IP's and email domains etc.

Beginning September 14, 2019, PSD2 regulation will require Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) for many online payments made by European customers, to help reduce fraud.

Stripe have developed a new checkout process to product SCA support and we have released our Stripe plugin V2.0 to work with that.

This update has required a lot of work and rewriting. We have tried our best to keep the plugin backward compatible but there are a couple of features that have had to be removed.

1) Coupon codes are no longer supported (Stripe do hope to support them in their new checkout at some point though).

2) Pay and Register. Because of the way the new checkout processes payments, we can no longer support Stripe buttons that take payment and then connect to a registration form. However, we have added a new Register and Pay feature allowing new users to register and pay when they submit the form. This is a more normal and neater process anyway in our opinion and works in a similar way to the Paypal plugin. Sitelok V5.8 has the required setting in the registration form designer. When using this feature you must ensure the registration form includes the password field allowing the user to choose a password.

Stripe has not yet officially released their update card details form (when existing subscribers need to change the card used for payment) for their new Checkout. However, we have worked closely with Stripe to test their beta form and it seems to work fine and they should release it soon. The plugin does support it already once released. If you would like to enable access to the beta update card form let us know your Stripe account name and we can ask Stripe to allow access (the form is in English only currently).

Messaging & Profile plugin V2.1 released

V2.1 now supports entering emojis on mobile devices. Emoji keyboards are also built in to Windows 10 ( press Window and period ) and MAC OS (press CMD CTRL Space)

You can now set the  size that profile images are resized to when uploaded. Defaults to 150px.

Its been quite a while since Vibracart Paypal was updated so we are really pleased to announce the release of V3.0 which is now fully responsive and easier to style.
The cart is now fully responsive allowing percentage width and height.
Most cart styling can now be set in the settings file without needing to modify CSS.
Buttons are no longer images so text can be defined in the settings file.
Save cart option can now handle large numbers of items.
Many design improvements and bug fixes.

We have finally released the Messaging & Profile plugin V2.0 (previously called Blab Messaging).

This version has been totally redeveloped but we have tried to keep it backward compatible. However to use any new features you should use the built in snippet generator to create the message box and user list snippets required to add to your pages. File sending option for Messaging & Profile Plugin

The V2.0 beta Messaging & Profile Plugin plugin now has an option to send files publicly and privately. Previews of images can also be shown.

A file can be sent either by dragging and dropping it on to the message area or by clicking the upload icon and selecting the file.

Using RapidSearch Live with Sitelok

To enable this new feature in Sitelok and to allow RapidSearch Live access to secured pages follow these steps.

Blab Messaging plugin V2.0 beta

We have been working hard on a major V2.0 update for the Blab messaging and Profile plugin and now have a beta that existing users can download from your account. It should be backward compatible with any pages you have already setup but remember it is a beta version.

We have also decided to rename the plugin as just Messaging & Profile Plugin removing the Blab part as this caused confusion with another similar messaging system.

This new version has a new combo messaging box that allows users to see their private inbox, a searchable list of users, as well as chat with users. Optionally the same box can show public (non private) messages as well.


              

The Sitelok dashboard also provides direct access to the combo chatbox from the header and shows how many unread private messages you have.

There is a built in snippet generator allowing you to easily generate the code needed to add message boxes to your pages.

Using Sendgrid and our plugin you can send transactional and marketing emails from Sitelok with confidence. The mail servers provided with most hosting accounts are unreliable, restricted and often blacklisted so Sendgrid are trusted by small startups and many big name sites to deliver over 40 billion emails every month. We have used them for a while now and found the service to be fantastic.

As well as sending emails the plugin supports tracking so you can see when they are delivered, opened, bounced and even which links are clicked, right from Sitelok. Each sent emails status can be seen in the log and user recent activity.



Our statistics page shows detailed information about bounce rates, opens, specific links clicked etc. Stats can be for all emails sent in a certain period or for a specific email campaign. It's a great way to see how well marketing emails are received and how users interact with them. Here's how it works.

Select the email (by subject) your interested in or all emails and select the date range



Click the update button to get live stats about the emails



You can also see stats for links clicked in the emails too



Its also possible to select all users who opened the email or clicked a specific link in the email making it easy to follow them up with another email. To do this just click the user icon next to the link or email stat you are interested in.

The Sendgrid plugin costs $19.95 (plus VAT where applicable) and requires you to have a free or paid Sendgrid account and Sitelok V5.0 or above (V5.5 is recommended for all features).

Beacon is an embedded popup help and contact widget from Help Scout.
This plugin allows you to add the Help Scout Beacon to your members pages and to pre-fill the members name and email automatically when they contact you. You can also personalize messages using the members name or other details. 

You can also include data from other Sitelok fields with the message which will appear in Help Scout's notes section so that the information is instantly available when you receive the message. You can also include a lik back to the users edit page in the Sitelok control panel. 

For more flexibility you can define two Beacons one of which is used when users are not logged in (visitors) and one for logged in members.

Sitelok V5.1 released

Sitelok V5.1 has some bug fixes so if you are using V5.0 we recommend updating. As well bug fixes we also have a few new features.
Form padding settings
Input field and button padding settings have been added to the form designers to allow more styling options. This should make it easier to make your Sitelok forms match the style of other forms you may use on your site.
Reply-to override & email testing
The reply-to address for emails sent from Sitelok can now be overriden. There is also an email test button in the email settings section.
Integrate Sitelok with Mobirise
Mobirise is a Mac and Windows app allowing you to easily create mobile friendly websites using a large range of drag and drop Bootstrap based blocks.

Sitelok V5.1 works well with Mobirise and their Code Editor extension. We have written a supplementary manual to help Mobirise users integrate Sitelok into their sites. You can download the manual here.

Sitelok V5.0 released

It's been in development for some time but we have finally released Sitelok V5.0!
New Control panel
The main change is to the control panel which has been completely redesigned and is now responsive and mobile friendly. It is also possible to translate the control panel to other languages or even white label it which is useful for web designers using Sitelok on their clients sites.


New email editor
The new email editor and file manager make it easier to create and manage your email templates. Adding template variables is easier too as we use dialog boxes to request any required parameters.


Other new features
Forms created using the built in form designers now use Ajax for a better user experience.

User export now exports just the fields you require with or without a header row.

If you are a Rapidweaver 7 user (as we are) we recommend updating to Sitelok V5 so code snippets generated are compatible.

Paypal's changes in June 2017

If you use Paypal you have probably been receiving emails from them warning about upcoming changes. Most of these don't affect our products but the IPN change in June 2017 does require an update for Linklok Paypal and the Sitelok Paypal plugin. If you use Paypal with Linklok Mals no update is needed.

From June 2017 Paypal will require that the callback from IPN uses SSL. Don't worry as this doesn't mean you need SSL on your website as we can handle this directly within our code. However your server does need to be compatible with Paypal's requirement for TLS1.2. Most hosting companies have updated their servers to allow TLS1.2 to be used (other services require this too not just Paypal) but there are some older servers that may need updating.
Linklok Paypal
To be ready for June 2017 please update Linklok Paypal to either V3.0 (or above) or re-download any earlier version (all are updated with Paypal's changes). Downloads are available from Your Products page when you are logged in. Even if you are not eligible for free access to the latest version you will be able to download your current version updated with Paypal's requirements free of charge.

After updating you should test that your server is compatible. To do this go to

http://www.yoursite.com/linklokipn.php?testtls=1

If the test is successful then you are good to go. If the test fails then

1) Add this setting to linklokipn.php anywhere near your other settings.

$paypalusessl=false;

This will allow Linklok to continue working as it does now.

2) Contact your host and ask them to update OpenSSL used by PHP so that it supports TLS 1.2 before June 2017. Once they have done this you can test again and remove the setting you added in 1).
Sitelok Paypal plugin
To be ready for June 2017 please update the Sitelok Paypal Plugin to either V2.0 (or above) from the Sitelok Plugins page (you need to login). This plugin is free of charge.

After updating you should test that your server is compatible. To do this go to

If the test is successful then you are good to go. If the test fails then

1) Add this setting to slconfig.php anywhere near your other settings.

This will allow the plugin to continue working as it does now.

How to test your server before updating
Paypal have a test available to check your server. We have built this into Linklok Paypal and the Sitelok Paypal plugin but you can also run the test separately if you wish. To do this upload tlstest.php (from the zip below) to your site and visit it in the browser. If the test fails you should contact your hosting company and let them know.

We have released V2.2 of Vibracart Paypal. As well as bug fixes, tweaks and some tidying up of the cart cosmetically this version has a number of new features.Buy Now and Paypal links supported
Vibracart can now work with Buy Now buttons and Paypal payment links as well as Add to Cart buttons.
New item discount modes
Vibracart now has three ways to handle item discounts.
Mode 1
Discounts are applied to the item price. So if three $3.00 items are purchased and a 10% discount is applied the discount is shown like this in the cart.


This is the default method and the same as used in previous version of Vibracart.
Mode 2
Mode 2 will combine all discounts which are displayed as a total in the cart. The item price is left as it is. So for example if the user purchases three $3 items and a 10% discount is applied then it will leave the item price at $3 but add the $0.90 discount to the total discounts like this.


Mode 3
Mode 3 will display the related discount for each product in the cart. The unit price is left as it is but the item total will include the discount. So for example if the user purchases three $3 items and a 10% discount is applied then it will show the item price at $3 and show the $0.90 discount. The item total will show $8.10 like this.


Discount and Coupon descriptions
Discounts and coupons can now have descriptions (labels) applied which are displayed in the cart. Here is an example of a cart wide discount.

New step quantity discount type
This can be used to offer unit pricing that changes depending on the quantity purchased. Unlike $itemqtydiscountpercent which adjusts the price of all items based on the quantity $stepqtydiscountpercent allows you to, for example, charge one price for the first one purchased, another price for the next 5 purchased and a third price for the following 5 etc.
Sitelok support
We have added a chapter to the manual which explains how you can have discounts applied for logged in Sitelok users. Discounts can be applied based on whether a user is logged in, based on usergroup membership or even for specific users. Vibracart can also force users to login before checkout to ensure any applicable discounts are applied before payment.

Cartloom plugin for Sitelok

We have released a Cartloom plugin for Sitelok. The plugin can create or update users in Sitelok when products are sold via Cartloom. This is useful if you wish to create support accounts for your products or even just to sell memberships. Works with the Credits plugin too. Dropbox support added to Linklok

We have added Dropbox support to all versions of Linklok. This works in a similar way to our Amazon S3 support. Linklok can generate secure download links that download directly from Dropbox. Users don't need a Dropbox account to download of course.

Amazon S3 V4 Signatures are now supported. V4 Signatures are required by buckets in some new regions such as Frankfurt.

Sitelok passwords (where supported) are handled more securely now with an option to only display them when a new Sitelok account is created. After this the password can be starred out or some specified text can be displayed instead.

Linklok URL now has the ability to save form submissions to Sitelok. This allows you to keep in email contact with contacts.

We have released Sitelok V4.5 which has a number of new features

A new contact form designer has been added. Although not a necessary part of Sitelok many of you asked for this to allow the contact form to match Sitelok forms on your sites.

The import users function has new features allowing custom file formats to be used and also the ability to update only certain fields of existing users.

For more advanced users we have added functions similar to sl_ismemberof() but working with multiple groups. This is useful if you want to show parts of your page to members who belong to one of a number of groups or all specified groups.

Credits plugin for Sitelok

Its been in the pipeline for a while but we have finally released our Credits plugin. This plugin allows you to setup a system of user credits that can be used to charge for or control downloads from your members area. We also provide some PHP functions that can be used to charge or add credits for other user actions such as visiting a page. This would allow you to charge for viewing videos for example (video on demand).

Credits can be added to a users account manually via the control panel, automatically added periodically by being a member of specific usergroups or by purchasing products that have credits allocated to them.
Credits can be automatically deducted when users download files from the members area using the siteloklink() function. The number of credits used can be defined per usergroup, file location or even within the siteloklink() function call. You can decide also if users are allowed to re-download files again without using credits and for how long.

The Credits plugin is a great way to charge for access to downloads or other content without requiring a payment for each transaction. Its also a great way to ensure that subscribers to your site don't download all your content in a short time and then cancel. You can effectively limit downloads to a certain number per day, week or month as needed.

The PHP API functions provide the basis for setting up complex credit based charging for access to various features on your site. As you can add credits too you can also reward users for certain actions.

We have added a PDF watermarking feature to all versions of Linklok. This allows the users email address to watermarked on the PDF during download. This can help reduce sharing.

We have also added IP country reporting to the download notification email (and other templates) which can be useful for EU VAT reporting. Linklok URL can use the IP country within your pages to control content based on the users location.

This version has a number of new features and bug fixes.

We have designed a new default login form which is responsive and works better with mobile devices.



You can now adjust the default login form style from inside the Sitelok admin without using CSS. You can also
add a 'Register now' or 'Not Signed up' link as well if you wish.



New login method added. Calling /slpw/login.php will display the login template and can the redirect the user
back to usergorup start page (or any other page if required).

If the 'No Access' URL is a login page there is an option to redirect the user after login back to the calling page
or to the usergroup start page.

Follow Up Email plugin for Sitleok

We have released the Sitelok Follow Up Email plugin. We know a lot of you have been waiting for this one!

The Follow Up Email plugin can automatically send a sequence of emails to users after they join usergroups (like an auto responder service). So for example you could set it up so that when users join the SILVER usergroup they are sent a welcome message on day 1, a news email 7 days later and then an upgrade to GOLD offer 30 days after that. You can setup any number of emails in the sequence for each user group as well as a global sequence that is sent to all users. You can also set emails so that they are only sent out if a user is or is not a member of another group. So for the upgrade to GOLD message in our example we could choose to only send that if the user has not already upgraded to GOLD.

Register code plugin
The Register Code plugin requires a user to enter a one use code during registration which is checked against the list of valid codes by Sitelok. In other words this plugin lets you have a publicly visible registration form on your site but allows you to control who can register using it. Register codes could be distributed in books or scratch cards, sold manually or could be employee numbers for example.

You may have recently received an email from Paypal informing you of changes they are making which require modifications to scripts that handle IPN or PDT calls so that they use HTTP 1.1. We have updated our Linklok Paypal and Sitelok Paypal plugin products to be compliant with these changes. These updates are free of charge. Paypal require all users to update their sites by February 2013. If you need any help please don’t hesitate to contact us.

We have released V2.5 that has the required changes as well as other updates. We have also updated earlier versions as well so that you are not forced to purchase an upgrade. Linklok Mals important update

Mals eCommerce recently updated their system requiring a (FREE) update to Linklok Mals. Without the update Linklok will still deliver download links on the thank you page but the email might not be sent out.

We have applied the fix to all versions in the download area so just download the latest free version offered. You can do this even if your free support period has expired. You do not need to purchase an upgrade.

Updating is easy. Just copy the setting lines from your existing linklokme.php and paste them into the new version.

Paypal recently updated their PDT system requiring an update to Linklok Paypal. If you use Linklok Paypal please login to the support area

using the username and password supplied when your purchased and download the latest version V1.99a. This update is free of charge for all clients that purchased within the last year. However if you purchased before you can either upgrade to the latest version or download the updated version you are using for free (we have applied the fix to earlier versions as well in the support area).

Sitelok Paypal Module released

We have released our first add on module for Sitelok that allows you to sell membership via Paypal using their Buy Now and Subscription buttons. We have decided to release this module free of charge for clients within the support period (at least for now). We hope to release modules for other payment processors soon as well.

We have just released Sitelok V2.20. As well as a few bug fixes we have added a new email template link called !!!delete!!! that enables a user to delete their account and also a page variable called $slgroupexpiryts[] that contains the user group expiry times in timestamp format.

We have also made Sitelok ready for our upcoming payment processor modules. The first to be released soon will be for Paypal.


Using Sitelok with web analytics

A number of web analytics services allow you to set the ID of the visitor if known, Sitelok supports this which is great as you can look through your visitor data and see exactly who is viewing what. We have tested this with both Clicky and Visistat and it works well. What's more is that Sitelok download links automatically show up in Clicky as well showing when users download certain files.

cWhois Domain Cart V3.0 has been released. This adds support for .gd and .me and also updates .cz .ac .mx .ae and .cd. We now have support for Alertpay Payment processing. You can also now set special domain pricing for specific hosting plans. This allows you for example to provide free domain names (of specific extensions) with certain hosting plans. This feature has been requested by a number of clients. The update is free for all users who purchased a license or upgrade within one year.

Sitelok V2.10 released

We have just released Sitelok V2.10. As well as a few bug fixes there are two new features.

Search engine access
We have added an option to allow search engines to access an index secured pages. You can define which group or groups the search engine robot will have access to. You can define this setting globally or on a page by page basis if required. Although we think that most sites will still want to block search engine access to their protected pages (this is the default) we have had a number of requests lately for this feature.

One click MySQL backup
Although most hosting control panels provide MySQL backup features we decided to add a simple one click backup to the Sitelok control panel to make this as painless as possible. The backup downloads a standard SQL file (zipped up) which contains all the data required to recreate all tables and data. The SQL file can be restored using most mysql managers (such as phpmyadmin).
